By Newsbreak Producer Tashlan Naidoo - In an effort to empower the people of Africa, a 1-billion Dollar development funding pledge has been jointly launched by the governments of Ghana and South Africa. The African Prosperity Fund (APF) aims to support projects that include women and youth, education, health-care, technology and sustainability across the continent. The fund was launched at the 6th annual Global Citizen Festival Campaign, which culminated in pledges amounting to 2.4 Billion dollars to end extreme poverty.
