By Newsbreak Producer, Taliesha Naidoo - The lack of sanitary pads for underprivileged girls in South Africa put them at a disadvantage in their education compared to their male counterparts. That's according to founder of Project Dignity - Sue Barnes. Project Dignity is a KwaZulu-Natal based non-profit organisation that educates girls on menstruation and provides them with eco-friendly, re-usable sanitary pads. Barnes says the lack of access to sanitary wear and adequate sanitation facilities can severely affect a girl's attendance at school by 25% per year, causing a massive set back in their school careers...
