By Newsbreak's Tashlan Naidoo - India has unveiled the world's tallest statue - which is even taller than Christ the Redeemer in Brazil and the iconic Statue of Liberty in the United States of America. The six-billion-rand - 182-meter high structure, in the western state of Gujarat, is a bronze-clad tribute to independence leader, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Patel is known as a founding father of the Republic of India, and played a leading role in the country's struggle for independence. It has surpassed the height of the Spring Temple Buddha in China which was 128-meters - previously the tallest statue in the world.
