By Newsbreak Producer Taliesha Naidoo - Multiple military coups in African countries in recent years is posing a massive threat on investment relations and opportunities for the continent. That's according to Kwame Senou, founder of THOP Institute - a think tank committed to fostering Africa's economic and human development. Last week, the military seized power in Gabon shortly after President Ali Bongo had been declared the winner of a disputed election. Bongo, who had been president since 2009 has been placed under house arrest while General Brice Oligui Nguema has been sworn in as a Transitional President. Since 2020, there have been several coups in African countries including Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger.
