This after a disgruntled resident took to Facebook lambasting litter-bugs on Durban beaches, particularly around the Blue Lagoon. In the video circulating on social media, broken alcohol bottles and empty packets are seen scattered all over the pristine beach-side. Head of Parks, Recreation and Culture at the Municipality - Thembinkosi Ngcobo - explains the city's plan ahead of the festive season...

This after analysis has proven that drinking and driving largely contributes to road fatalities in the country. Therapeutic Manager for The South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Rudhika Naidoo, says a ban on drinking and driving is welcomed, however work needs to be done to do the same with being under the influence of drugs while behind the wheel...
