She has been speaking to Newsbreak ahead of today's International Conference on Public Participation (ICPP). The second ICPP is taking place at the Durban ICC from today until Wednesday. The conference will host academics from across the world who seek to address economic marginalisation and social exclusion in both developed and developing countries.
