By Newsbreak Producer, Matthew Veeran - As Earth Day activities continue around the world today - here in South Africa, a Durban educator has taken a proactive approach by bringing the international teachings of an Indian yogi to her learners. Chandira Maniram from the Durban Girls' Secondary School is a member of the "Save Soil" global movement. It was launched by renowned guru and philanthropist "Sadhguru" to address the world's soil crisis by uniting communities from all walks of life. Maniram says today, learners will mark Earth Day through various projects and initiatives including poems, posters and heartfelt letters addressed to global leaders. She says these letters will then be sent to officials at the upcoming Conference of the Parties (COP 15) meeting, scheduled for Côte d'Ivoire this May...
