By Newsbreak Producer Matthew Veeran - If you're in Durban, have you been to DSW Garden Refuse Site in Riverside recently? If you have, you would have noticed that it's more a sight for sore eyes currently, with mountains of trash piling up and spilling all over the roadways. This in light of the eThekwini Municipality strike that's been going on for close to two weeks now. Workers are demanding to be paid a wage similar to other metros, but as SALGA stated yesterday on Newsbreak, say these demands are based on a fallacy. They say this is because the other metros have not yet implemented the demanded wage structure. Ward 36 Councillor Shontel De Boer paid a visit to the Riverside site this week. She described the waste buildup as horrendous, saying it will take a number of days to clear up...
