By Newsbreak Producer, Taliesha Naidoo - Parts of the iconic Umhlatuzana Temple, south of Durban, which stood the test of time, has collapsed. The 70-year-old Hindu temple, which sits on a bank next to the Umhlatuzana River, was severely damaged during the recent heavy downpours in KwaZulu-Natal. On Monday, the raging river burst its banks and flooded the temple. This led to pieces of the temple structure being submerged in the river and then washing away. This is the second time the temple suffered extensive damage. During the heavy rains and floods in 2017, the temple suffered structural damage to the tune of five-hundred-thousand rand. Deputy Chairperson at the temple, Vin Naidoo says it has been a heart-wrenching experience for the community.......
