By Newsbreak Producer Matthew Veeran - A celebration event is on the cards early next month in Durban, recognising Deputy Chief Justice Mandisa Maya and Judge Thoba Portia Poyo-Dlwati - who's the first woman judge president in KwaZulu-Natal. Organised by the South African Chapter of the International Association of Women Judges and the South African Women Lawyers Association (SAWLA) the dinner aims to bring together various dignitaries, lawyers and advocates to commemorate the duo's ascent to the SA judiciary. National President of SAWLA, Nomaswazi Shabangu-Mndawe says it's a great step in the right direction to see more women in elevated legal positions, but more chances now need to be taken on women lawyers by government...
