As the death toll surpassed 40-thousand in both countries, it is estimated that around 13.5-million people are directly affected in Turkiye alone. Now, there is a major health concern as millions are without shelter. Freezing temperatures, a lack of water and poor sanitation at the makeshift camps are exacerbating the already dire situation.
