The 17-year-old surviving daughter of a 57-year-old man who is accused of torching to death his wife and four other children in 2021 has told the Durban High Court, that her late mother tried to get help from police the day before the incident but they never arrived. Testifying, Adele Chetty said there had been a fight between her father and mother's brother, Deon Naidoo who was the first State witness. Kista Chetty is charged with five counts of premeditated murder, six counts of attempted murder and arson. Nonjabulo Mntungwa-Makamu brings us the latest from court.
