By Newsbreak Producer Magashini Mottian - The Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities (or CRL) together with the eThekwini Municipality have encouraged religious tolerance among citizens in order to promote social cohesion. This comes after it received numerous queries from the Hindu community who are either FOR and AGAINST a Green Diwali this year. The Commission is currently in Durban for a dialogue on the matter. Meanwhile, the Shri Mariammen Temple in Mount Edgecombe is one of the oldest and most famous Hindu temples in South Africa.
