By Newsbreak Producer Tashlan Naidoo - A full bench of the Pietermaritzburg High Court has granted an urgent order that former president Jacob Zuma's private prosecution of state prosecutor Advocate Billy Downer and journalist Karyn Maughan, be halted. Zuma is charging Downer, who is the lead prosecutor in the former president's corruption trial of leaking a confidential doctor's letter to Maughan. Downer and Maughan brought the latest application after Zuma filed to appeal the June ruling, that the private prosecution is unlawful and an abuse of court process. Meanwhile, political analyst Mpumelelo Zikalala says all is not lost for former President Jacob Zuma in his pursuit of private prosecution against state prosecutor Advocate Billy Downer and journalist Karyn Maughan.
