Unfavorable conditions in Brazil and Vietnam - two of the world's largest coffee producing nations - has resulted in the global increase in the price of coffee. 250 grams of instant coffee rose by 30.6% year on year - with ground coffee rising by 6.8% for the same period. This has been attributed to drier conditions in Brazil and Vietnam, resulting in poorer yields in crop production.
