According to Statistics SA, an estimated 31% men, 68% of women and 13.5% of children are classified as overweight or obese in the country. In the lead-up to World Obesity Day on the 4th of March, the Heart and Stroke Foundation South Africa (HSFSA) is calling for more honest conversations about the disease in order to transform the health outcomes for people living with being overweight or obese.
