By Newsbreak Producer Matthew Veeran - In this week's edition of A Long Walk to Democracy: I take you to the area in which I reside - Kenville and Sea Cow Lake in Durban. Like most suburbs in the city, this particular area is rife with issues - from crime to daily water and electricity outages. But recently, illegal dumping has transformed a once pitcheresque location into a wasteland. I began my walkabout in the community by speaking to an irate resident who chose to remain anonymous. Hailing from Mysore Road, this lady says the situation is so bad, her road is starting to become a breeding ground for rats...
