The free cataract camps will take place on Friday the 25th and Saturday the 26th and will be performed by a group of skilled specialist opthalmologists. IMASA president Solly Suleman says the camps will form part of a number of initiatives - all building up to "World Sight Day" in October...

Transport Minister Barbara Creecy is pushing for a zero-tolerance drinking and driving law proposed through the National Road Traffic Amendment Bill. This after analysis has proven that drinking and driving largely contributes to road fatalities in the country. Therapeutic Manager for The South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Rudhika Naidoo, says a ban on drinking and driving is welcomed, however work needs to be done to do the same with being under the influence of drugs while behind the wheel...
