Communications Officer at the Chatsworth police station, Captain Cheryl Pillay was runner up in the category of policewoman of the year in the fifth SAPS National Excellence Awards that was held over the weekend at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in Durban. This after analysis has proven that drinking and driving largely contributes to road fatalities in the country.
