Benton Harbor Area Schools will be closed on Friday following fights on Thursday that led to early dismissal.

The Unified Civic Monuments Project, the effort to construct monuments to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph, has received a new boost. 

Storms that blew through southern Berrien County on August 27 did about $12 million in damage.
