New play coming to LA tells the story of Freestyle, the music of Latino dance clubs in the 80s and 90s

Latino dance clubs in the 80s and 90s were ruled by freestyle, a mix of electronic dance music and hip hop. Now it’s the focus of a new play that tells the love story between a Puerto Rican woman and Cuban man whose love unravels against the backdrop of freestyle’s culture. L.A. based filmmaker George Valencia wrote and directed the play Freestyle: A Love Story at the Wilshire Ebell Theater and it's debuting at the Wilshire Ebell on November 6th.
