If you don’t know muralist Robert Vargas by name, you know his art: the Fernando Valenzuela mural next to the one-oh-one in Boyle Heights or his Shohei Ohtani mural in Little Tokyo.

Now, his new project to paint on an Altadena wall that’s much smaller -- in a community with a monumental task ahead: rebuild structures and restore hope.
