Jeffrey Vappie, Mayor Cantrell's former bodyguard, was indicted by a federal grand jury, charged with 7 counts of wire fraud and 1 count of false statements. The indictment charges that Vappie defrauded the city of nearly $47,000 over a 2 & 1/2 year period and accuses him of having a romantic relationship with the person he was assigned to protect. NOPD watchdog Skip Gallagher filed a couple of the original complaints. Dr. Gallagher joins Newell to give his insight about the case.
