House Bill 800 is the bill that's proposing a Constitutional Convention to re-write our state constitution. There hasn’t been one since Edwin Edwards’ first term, back in 1972. And according to Andreanecia Morris, the Executive Director for HousingNOLA, Louisianians have 3 main concerns about the Constitutional Convention:  

The process (how quickly it's happening and how the public is being shut out of the process)

The timing (last time it took years, this time they want to do it in weeks), 

and also the rush through the session in order to start the session.
