Mez drops by the show to chop it up with the guys about his upcoming project, “Electric Future Gangster”, and share some insane stories of working with Kanye, J.Cole, and Dr. Dre. We kick off this episode with some debating over the 2027 Grammy nominations, and the guys discuss Don Toliver’s “OCTANE” vs. J.Cole’s “The Fall-Off”. Mez shares the story of how he ended up in LA, which involves airline buddy passes (RIP), Dr. Dre session tryouts, and a shoeless Rick Rubin. He also recalls sessions with Kanye for “The Life of Pablo”, where Ye insulted his shoe game, as well as making his directorial debut with J.Cole with the video for “MIDDLE CHILD”. He speaks on all the obstacles that came with directing the video, like pulling the tint off of the windows of Cole’s Bentley, and people hating on him for having no directorial experience. Finally, we look forward to his upcoming project, which features H.E.R., T.I., J.Cole, Anderson .Paak, and more! “Electric Future Gangster” releases on November 20th, and the single, “WAY TOO MUCH” is out now!
