Last year's Fried Chicken Festival at the Lakefront was so popular, USA Today named it the 6th best specialty food festival in the country! To say the festival has grown from it's humble 2016 start would be an understatement. With it's new Lakefront location, there are more vendors, there's more music and plenty to do for the kids! A good time in the name of one of the countries most loved food items! I had a chance to chat with Elle Tully of CFC. You really want to get your early bird passes now and don't miss out!

I had a chance to catch up with Chef Eric who is understandably very excited as are we!

Right now at St. Roch Market food court (2381 St. Claude Ave.), there is a sandwich booth that is gaining a lot of attention for their delicious Tuscan style sandwiches: fresh peaches, prosciutto and burrata...soppressata, provolone picante and tomatoes, just to name a couple. All sandwiches are made on fresh baked daily schiacciata bread, focaccia's chewier cousin. They have some of the freshest, most delicious salads, including a version of the famous La Scala salad! Lisa and Jack Greenleaf are the owners and purveyors of LUNCH sandwich shop and were so fun to interview!
