We’re starting Wet Nose Wednesday in 2024 with the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet.

Hela is one of 40 dogs that came to Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center in October as part of a cruelty confiscation. She can be a little timid at first but after she meets you for a few minutes she turns into the sweetest snuggler who just wants to love on her person.  Hela spent a few hours at an off-site adoption on Saturday. She was easy going and calm and friendly to everyone she met.


Hela had a rough start but she’s a very good girl who will be a wonderful best friend to the person who is willing to give her a new life. If you’re looking for a new best friend please come meet Hela at SCACAC.

There are many other great adoptable dogs and cats waiting to meet you at SCACAC. You can meet them Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-12:45.
