Merry Christmas from Clifford, our Wet Nose Wednesday star for this week. Clifford is a handsome three year old boy with the most adorable huge ears. He’s been living in a kennel at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center since September when he was brought in as a stray. When he first arrived he was terrified but he’s become more comfortable over time and his sweet and friendly personality is starting to shine. When Clifford gets settled into his forever home he’ll be a wonderful addition to his family, just perfect for being together on cold winter nights. Clifford is available for adoption, foster or foster to adopt. You can meet him and all of the other adoptable pets during shelter hours Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.

Our Wet Nose Wednesday star this week is a sweet senior girl who is looking for a loving soft place to land for the rest of her life. Ceili is a 10 year old Boxer. Unfortunately the only person she ever called her own passed away last year and her entire world has been turned upside down. She has been living with one of our wonderful fosters for a year. Ceili is housebroken and sleeps in a crate. She loves attention! We feel she will do best as the only dog in an adult only home. No cats. Ceili is an active girl for her age. She goes for walks every day and we recommend a six foot fence. This girl will be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a devoted best friend. Ceili is now living in a foster home. Happy Holidays from the adoptable pets and volunteers at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center. Are you looking to add more Christmas joy to your home? Our Wet Nose Wednesday star may be just the guy for you. Al is a lovable character who bursts with joy every time he gets to spend time outdoors. He loves spending time in the play yard and had awesome fun frolicking in the snow. Al is a big talker and everyone knows Al is outside playing when they hear his distinctive voice. He’s a silly boy who carries a toy while he takes his walks. Our volunteers are smitten with him. Unfortunately Al has been with us since July when he was surrendered by his owner. So far no one has even asked to meet him. Our kennels are so full he just keeps getting overlooked. Please come on out to Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center to spend time with Al and the other adoptable pets. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.

Unfortunately Dusty has been living in a kennel at SCACAC since August 18th when he was surrendered by his owner. Dusty is a friendly high energy boy. He loves his time outside with the volunteers. He’s an athletic boy who will make a great companion for walking and a game of fetch. Dusty is really handsome, too! SANGAMON COUNTY ANIMAL CONTROL AND ADOPTION CENTER WILL BE CLOSED THURSDAY AND FRID FOR THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY but you can meet Dusty and all the other adoptable pets on Saturday from 9:00-1:00 and next week Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15.

The kennels at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center are completely full. Some dogs have been waiting for months to meet their new families. More dogs arrive every day that need kennel space. We are asking anyone who is thinking about adding a dog to their family to come meet some of the very nice long timers at SCACAC. Angus has been waiting to meet his new family since August. This big boy is sweet and well behaved. He’s about two years old. Angus is a friendly boy who is attentive to his handler and sits nicely. He’s ready to leave kennel life behind and start a new life of love and affection. Unfortunately Angus is a big black dog and they are usually the last dogs to get adopted. Angus is available for foster, foster to adopt and adoption. FOR A LIMITED TIME ADOPTION FEE IS REDUCED TO $25!
