New Country Mornings

Our Wet Nose Wednesday star for this week has unfortunately been living in a kennel at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center since the beginning of July. She really needs someone to meet her and give her a chance at a good life. River is one year old and she has a beautiful chocolate brown coat. She does not make a good impression when you first see her in her kennel because she acts wild and wants to get out. Once she gets outside she has energy to burn and loves to walk and play in the play yard. She has done well in play groups with other dogs and our behaviorist says she is dog social. River is available for foster and adoption. The kennels at SCACAC are full and we need space for more dogs. We need fosters and adopters. Will you please consider helping a dog in need by fostering or adopting? You can meet the dogs during shelter hours Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00. The shelter is located at 2100 Shale St in Springfield IL.

Our Wet Nose Wednesday star for this week would love to spend time outside in colorful leaves and cool fresh air. He’s been cooped up in a kennel for over a month. Sully is a handsome and fun Lab mix boy. He’s about a year old so he’s got young Lab energy. He could use some leash training but he does sit nicely for treats. He’ll be a wonderful new best friend for long walks. Sully is available for foster and adoption. Our Wet Nose Wednesday star for this week is a very sweet girl who will be a wonderful companion for the person who chooses to take her home. Coco is a three year old Pointer/Pit Bull mix. She’s very friendly and easy going and she walks calmly on a leash. Coco also has good recall when she’s outside playing with her volunteer friends. This loving girl is available for foster and adoption. The kennels at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center are full of dogs that are good matches for people with many different lifestyles.
