It's time for WinterFest 2026! Rachel Stark, Riverfront Parks Committee member and Program Manager for the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, joins the show to dish on this years event, taking place from 12-2pm Saturday January 24th at Nesbitt Park. The free, family-friendly event will feature a winter hike, activities for all, educational hubs, hot coca and s'mores as well as a special dog sled team program! Winterfest aligns with the committees other initiatives, like Riverfest and Chalkfest with a goal of preserving and educating the community about our native greenscapes in and around Wilkes-Barre and other urbanized areas.
