Then, it's time once again for the annual Distance Medley to support the Northwest Area Running Rangers! Coach Gareth Henderson discusses how the kids running group started, its importance for youth health and sports and how it's beneficial for the community as a whole. Proceeds from the event go towards purchasing each child in the program a pair of running shoes. This year's Distance Medley also coincides with "Celebrate Trails Day". The event takes place April 20th at 8am on the Susquehanna Warrior Trail, participants can choose to run anywhere from 1 to 16 miles! The Running Rangers Fitness Camp accepts children in the Northwest Area School district between 4th and 6th grades.
