(00 - 12:34) Scranton native Maria Piccolino joins the show to discuss the issue of bullying, and the importance of teaching "anti-bullying" in our youth. She authored a book titled "Be a Buddy, Not a Bully(Speak Up, Stand Strong)" that helps parents teach their children to become allies instead of bullies at a younger age. The book providers a series of steps and interactive "Reflection Pages" that can be used at home, in classrooms, with counselors and more. It shines a spotlight on the importance of choosing kindness and showing bravery between ages 5-9. Piccolino said the book is available to purchase on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and can be accompanied with a program for the school as well.  Learn more about the initiative here

(12:35 - 17:29) February is American Heart Month, and executive leadership board member for the American Heart Association's Eastern State Region Kara Seitzinger joins Frankie to talk about heart health. Cardiovascular disease is now the #1 killer of women in the US. She says 1 in 3 women will die of cardiac disease. The American Heart Association wants to spread awareness during the month, by having the public wear red and learn crucial life-saving methods, such as CPR. Learn more at Heart.org

(17:30 - 30) Meghan Carnevale from the Greater Scranton YMCA joins the show to talk summer! Despite frigid February temperatures, Carnevale says early bird registration for the Y's summer camp is open now through March 20th. As a nonprofit, the YMCA provides scholarship's to those who may need financial assistance through the scholarship application. Parents can choose the weeks they want their child in camp, which offers fun and continued education  from June to August through their Quest learning program.
