Well, Pete Davidson from Saturday Night Live is now revealing what they all got paid. So comedian Pete has dropped a bombshell about the salaries of Saturday Night Live cast members, which has left fans stunned. Pete revealed that the cast members each earn like three grand an episode. So let me break this down for you. With SNL season, it typically is eighteen to twenty two episodes, so they don't do fifty two episodes. It's not on all year, It's only on eighteen to twenty two weeks a year. So this means cast members appearing in every single episode earn between fifty four two what's the math here, sixty six thousand a year, a figure that pales in comparison to the show's glitzy reputation. Pete was asked what was his first big splurge after he got paid, and he said, I think I got dinner. Well, let's do a big picture though here. So I hit the phones and I asked my sources, is this right, and they said, yes, it is. All My TV inside has said, there's a myth on television that everybody on television earns hundreds and thousands of dollars. We know from those Housewives that they exaggerate, they never quite tell the truth. In the early days of the Housewives, the Jills and the Bethanies were out leaking that they got sixty seventy thousand dollars an episode. These huge numbers just not true. It wasn't true at all. In fact, I think the entire first season of the Real Housewives of New York the cast made between seven and eight thousand dollars for the entire season, not per episodes. When I was on the VH one Morning Show hosting the VH one Morning Show, I earned two thousand dollars a week, so it's like five hundred dollars an episode. Slightly less. Maybe I earned twenty five hundred weeks about five hundred dollars an episode. And get this, I got paid more than everybody else on the show, So the other cast members were certainly getting less than five hundred per episode. All these Bramo shows we hear all the time, don't we, The Summer House and vander Pump Rules, these reality shows that they earned millions of dollars. That's not true either. I was friends with a manager of a couple of those reality stars and they said, it's a couple of grand per episode. So SNL cast members are earning about the same as the real Housewives. But let me help put this into a little bit of perspective here. Source has told me that despite the very modest paychecks, SNL serves as a launching pad for countless comedy icons, and it's still still thought of as the premieer comedy show on television. So if you're on SNL, the chances of you going on to make movies, TV shows, sitcoms, or paid advertisement deals, all that stuff really increases here. So it's almost like an investment in yourself when you audition for SNL. It's not for the money. Nobody gets on SNL for the money, but they think of it as a first time job. It's their starter job, and then that launches them hopefully into massive creators. Kristen wig Will Farrow, there's countless, countless numbers of people who have been on that show who now make a fortune doing movies and other stuff. So that's why the show doesn't pay more, because they don't have to. Nobody who auditions in the history of SNL has said, eh, I want more money or I'm not taking the job. No, they don't do that. Every person I'm told that has ever ever got a job in SNL said thank you very much. When do I start? And so if you don't have to pay more, why would you pay it? Think about your job. The boss isn't paying you more because they want to. The boss is paying you more because they have to. You will leave, they'll have to replace you if they even can do that. And so with Zanel, I know there are so many comedians, so many working comedians who would do it for nothing. So we don't want that to happen. But a bad three grand an episode far less than I think we all thought, although I think I knew this one. I remember when I was working at Okay magazine as the executive editor, we paid for baby pictures and wedding pictures and we never paid as much money as what was reported in the press. So I would say to the celebrities, we don't talk about money as a magazine, as an outlet, We're not going to talk about money. But if you want to talk about it, it's up to you. And if you don't tell the truth, if if you inflated a little bit, I'm not going to cracch it. So I'm not talking about this. But that gave the celebrities red light or red light to say whatever they want, and they did. It was always leads that we were paying millions of dollars for a wedding or millions of dollars for first baby pictures. Not true. It was far, far less. The first time I realized this, it was one of my first celebrity clients was Monica Lewinsky. Yes I swear now, I wasn't her publicist. Her publicist May he rest in peace, the legendary Howard Bragman. He worked in LA I worked for his company. Monica was in New York. So Howard asked me to take Monica to a couple of events, to a couple of TV shows. We ended up becoming a little friendly and getting dinner, and she just didn't have the money of somebody who had her fame. For a moment there, she was one of the most famous person in the world, and she didn't have money for security, and she didn't have money to live in a building that you think people that famous would live in. And so when you next hearing you will that celebrities are making millions and millions and millions of dollars. Do the math. It just doesn't add up. Now, are there some people on TV making millions. Yes, I'm looking at you Hoder, I'm looking at you Savanna Robin Roberts, the host Ellenor and Million on her talk show. But most people on TV are very middle class and would even argue working class. And so once again, next time somebody pretends that they earn all this money, think about it. Does it really make sense? Which brings us to our whole question of the day. Former members Harry Zaye and Lewis and niall have pledged to rekindle their friendship after their friend's untimely death, and inside a revealed quote that Liam's passing was a wake up call for them, adding that while the group remained loosely in touch, and that's been kind loosely in touch over the years, their bonds and everything else really had faded. However, now, even though they are still mourning, they are checking in on each other and feel much closer. I'm told now there is a group text that there was in the beginning and then it stopped, and this awful event has brought them all back together. We saw the band members at his funeral in England last month. I was there at the time. I was just in one village away. And this is a poignant reunion, making the first time all five had been together since Zane's departure in twenty fifteen, and then obviously afterwards twenty sixteen the group went on indefinite hiatus. They've not seen each other since really two and fifteen all together. But this brought them all under the same roof, giving them a real feeling of what they were missing out on. They became superstars together. They became very, very rich, together. They have experiences that nobody else, almost nobody else in the world will ever ever have, and that connects you. Have you had a friend, have, you had a group that you were really close with, and then you sort of drifted apart. You didn't fall out, but you drift apart, and then a big awful, maybe happy event happened and brought you back together and you realized what you were missing out on. I've become very very close with my with my sister Christine again. I grew up with Christine. It was Christine and me every day for what fifteen sixteen, seventeen, eighteen years until we went off to university. And then as life progressed and she had her family and I moved to America. We did never fall out, but our lives went in separate, opposite directions, and we lost touch. And recently, because of my mom and dad's health, they're now in their late eighties, Christine and I have reconnected and it's just lovely. I didn't realize how much I missed her, and I think that's what's happening here with one direction. Now you're going to hear rumors that the band is getting back together, that they're going to go on tour, that they're going to reunite. That's not true. My sources tell me that is a long long way off. At the moment, they're just texting, they're just connecting. There's no no talking. It would be rude, it'd be crass for them to be talking about making money going on tour right now. So there's no talk about that. They've all got individual careers to different degrees, Harry Styles obviously being the biggest. They've all got commitments. I'm told Harry's going to go on too extra as a solo artist. Martha shared the forbidden snaps on Instagram. So she's not being shy about this. She's not taking sneaky, sneaky photos. No, she took them and was proud of them. He praised how magnificent Michaelangelo's work and his masterpiece isn't called it a bucket list experience. We spoke about this a couple of days ago on the show. Billboard put out the list. I think it was the top fifty of the greatest pop stars of the twenty first century. They didn't tell us who was number one, but we know they released They revealed that Taylor Swift was number two, of Britney Spears's on the list, Lady Gager on the list Ariana Grande, but they kept number one a secret. Well, we all knew. I told you last week there was one name missing from the list. It was Beyonce. She had to be number one. There's no way she was not going to be on the list, and there was only one spot available that had not being revealed, and that was number one, so we knew it was Beyonce. Well, TMS caught up with Beyonce's mummy in La Tina Knowles, and asked her about this monumental achievement, and Tina had a very strange response, saying, we're used to it. It's just another day for Beyonce. Oh it's a bit disappointing, isn't it. So the Unstoppable Queen doesn't seem to be that sort of happy, thrilled please about this honor. I don't know, Tiny, I think it would have been better just to say, wow, isn't that exciting? Do you ever find some people are not that humble, are just expecting all this stuff. They don't care anymore. They have so much that they don't care anymore when more comes along. It made me a bit sad here. I think the response is really cavalier, almost dismissive. Her latest album, I Love It The Tortured Poets Department shattered records when it was released in eightful, becoming Spotify's most stream album in any single day. Now she's the most streamed artist of the year, two years in a row. Congratulations our Nices of the Day and now our Naughties of the Day. Naughty, naughty, naughty. Orty Cloak Kardashian is saying that her therapist betrayed her, claims the private information was lated. This is shocking. So Chloe is opening up about a shocking betrayal that changed her life. The Kardashian Style revealed that she had a former therapist to she she believes leaked confidential details about her to a tabloid and she was shattered shattered by it. The betrayal reportedly took place during her highly publicized divorced from lamar odom amid his struggles with addiction and infidelity. Chloe said stuff was leaked, and she insisted that there was not a chance in the world anyone else could have known. So she didn't tell her mom, she didn't tell her sisters, shouldn't tell anybody else. She only told her therapist and it ended up in the papers. Not right. Come on, okay, moving along, Tina and Noles is talking about Beyonce being crowned Billboard's most Influential Greatest Pop Star of the twenty first century. So wow, this is a huge honor. We spoke about this a couple of days ago on the show. Billboard put out the list. I think it was the top fifty of the greatest pop stars of the twenty first century. They didn't tell us who was number one, but we know they released They revealed that Taylor Swift was number two, of Britney Spears's on the list, Lady Gager on the list Ariana Grande, but they kept number one a secret. Well, we all knew. I told you last week there was one name missing from the list. It was Beyonce. She had to be number one. There's no way she was not going to be on the list, and there was only one spot available that had not being revealed, and that was number one, so we knew it was Beyonce. Well, TMS caught up with Beyonce's mummy in La Tina Knowles, and asked her about this monumental achievement, and Tina had a very strange response, saying, we're used to it. It's just another day for Beyonce. Oh it's a bit disappointing, isn't it. So the Unstoppable Queen doesn't seem to be that sort of happy, thrilled please about this honor. I don't know, Tiny, I think it would have been better just to say, wow, isn't that exciting? Do you ever find some people are not that humble, are just expecting all this stuff. They don't care anymore. They have so much that they don't care anymore when more comes along. It made me a bit sad here. I think the response is really cavalier, almost dismissive. But if I've been dating someone for a couple of months and there was still on dating apps, maybe they'd forgot to delete their profile. I get it. Most people now, so many people meet online. There's no shame to it. But once we're together, I don't want you to be active. Your profile can be dormant. You haven't got to delete it right away. I get it. We forget to do things. But if I found out you were talking to other people behind my back and not other people in a restaurant or a bar. This is a dating app. You're only going to this app for one reason and that's to date. Well you're dating me now, so why are you there? I don't like this at all. I agree with you. The super star has officially been crowned Spotify's most stream artists of the year, racking up get this a jaw dropping twenty six point six billion let me say that again billion streams globally. This marks her second consecutive year taking that amazing title. Her latest album, I Love It The Tortured Poets Department shattered records when it was released in eightful, becoming Spotify's most stream album in any single day. Now she's the most streamed artist of the year, two years in a row. Congratulations our Nices of the Day and now our Naughties of the Day. Naughty, naughty, naughty. Orty Cloak Kardashian is saying that her therapist betrayed her, claims the private information was lated. This is shocking. So Chloe is opening up about a shocking betrayal that changed her life. The Kardashian Style revealed that she had a former therapist to she she believes leaked confidential details about her to a tabloid and she was shattered shattered by it. The betrayal reportedly took place during her highly publicized divorced from lamar odom amid his struggles with addiction and infidelity. Chloe said stuff was leaked, and she insisted that there was not a chance in the world anyone else could have known. So she didn't tell her mom, she didn't tell her sisters, shouldn't tell anybody else. She only told her therapist and it ended up in the papers. Not right. Chloe did go on to say that Jim now going to the gym is her new therapy. She works out and that helps an enormous amount, and Chloe that some one makes me sad. It really is naughty, naughty, naughty. I'm in the gossip business, but I would never take a therapist as a source. Just wrong. Let's end with a moment of rage. Book, Your need for acceptance can make you invisible in the world ris being out there in all you glory. So when you want to be accepted, you might dim your light.
