9/11’s 25th anniversary should be about the victims, their families, and reflecting on an event that altered the course of our history. 

Of course, Trump is using the anniversary to aggrandize himself, and Republicans–especially former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani–are furious at NYC’s current mayor Mamdani for attending the 9/11 memorial because Mamdani is muslim. 

Mamdani just released a report showing that NYC officials lied about how many toxins were left in the air following the collapse of the twin towers, toxins which killed thousands of people. No wonder Giuliani is so mad.
