On this week’s SoloPod, Eddie “Papa” Rye joins his daughter to chat church protests and Super Bowl drama. 

 

Two more have been arrested in connection to the Church protest in St. Paul, Minnesota, Jerome Richardson and Ian Austin. Meanwhile, we’ll play a clip from a different church protest that the Trump administration has completely ignored, probably because the protester was a white preacher spouting racism. 

 

Speaking of ignorance, with the Super Bowl coming up this weekend, we’ll revisit a painful moment in NFL history for the Rye family (who are big Seahawk’s fans). The Seahawks are going to the Super Bowl, and the last time they were in the Super Bowl, they were ONE play away from glory when the unthinkable happened…

They want some of us to have our rights, and others… not so much. The Black community is all too familiar with this phenomenon.
