This is the story of Kartik from a small place called Naaspur, near Adilabad in Telangana.  He lived in a coal colony especially made for workers of the coal mine and studied in class 8 in the St. Francis school. 

When his mother Ranjana went to clean the balcony, she was accidentally electrocuted due to the water on the floor.

Courage is a quality that cannot be taught in school, it is something that comes from within. It also does not depend on age as even a small child can turn out to be a brave heart in the face of adversity.  

This podcast is an attempt by Chimes Radio to pay tribute to such children who have shown extreme courage when it was needed the most. There are those extraordinary children who act bravely in difficult situations to save the lives of others around them - be it their family members or complete strangers.

On this Republic day, let us celebrate those children who received “Bravery Awards” from the President of India. Listen and get inspired by these stories which, though fictional, are heavily inspired by true events from real-life incidents of children, who did not let fear stop them from helping those in danger.

In Season 1, 6 stories will be released - one per day - in the run-up to the Indian Republic day that falls on the 26th of January.
