From August 9th to 16th, 2026, they will need more than 1,500 volunteers to make the Special Olympics Canada Summer Games Medicine Hat 2026 possible.
Volunteers will play a vital role in everything from welcoming athletes and guests to creating unforgettable moments.

The Amazing Race for Hunger is a premier annual fundraising event in Medicine Hat, organized by the Root Cellar Food & Wellness Hub to support its Emergency Food Pantry and combat local food insecurity. Celebrating its 5th anniversary in 2026, the high-energy event features local teams racing across the city to complete physical and mental challenges at various community partnership locations.
