Our guest today is Helen Wolfenden. She is an important part of the 2SER family as the academic liaison for Macquarie Uni, the leader of radio at Macquarie and ‘getting done person’ of the student takeovers. When she’s not serving the community Helen’s an academic at MQ and a researcher and creative in her own right - a broadcaster and podcaster who most recently has been a vital part of the education backbone for the Australian version of The Assembly, the Logie Award winning series where journalism students with lived experience of Autism and other forms of neurodiversity lead the conversation with famous Australians. Welcome to the show Helen!

Somewhere in the music industry, between 'sex drugs and rock and roll' and The Wiggles, is the rest of us. 'Music Mothers and Others' is an audio parents group -a chance to discuss how parenting fits (or doesn't) into music industry life. During the series we'll talk to people from across the industry - artists, promotors, techs, broadcasters, writers, academics, teachers - anyone who has a gig in 'industry', whatever that means.

Hosts Liz Giuffre and Shelley Brunt are industry veterans, academics and parents - as well as members of the broader village. For more see us at https://musicmothersandothers.com/ and of course at 2SER FM, https://2ser.com/
