There have been scenes of jubilation at the DA's table at the IEC Results centre in Pretoria with the announcement that the party has the majority in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality - with 90 percent of votes declared. However the DA has just fallen short of outright control of the Metro - garnering 49-point five percent of the vote. The ANC trails with 39 percent and the EFF finished with just under five percent.
