Babylon + Four Roads.
Finally we have good sound and we aren't wasting it galaxy braining bad, sad, industry films. Babylon (1980) finds the reggae underground through the visor of British kitchen sink realism, but the music keeps the harrowing experiences chill. On the other hand Alice Rohrwacher's lockdown movie is a sparkling gem of Varda-esque corniness about neighbours and the countryside that is transportive and inspiring in all the right ways.
