In the movie review, Mike gives his review of Do Revenge on Netflix starring  Maya Hawke which is very reminiscent of a 90’s / early 2000’s teen movie. And in the trailer park, we'll take a look at the new Whitney Houston biopic coming to theaters this December called ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody’.

In the Movie Review, Mike talks about Practical Magic 2 starring Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman who return as sisters Sally and Jillian. It follows their family 25 years after the original movie, as Sally's daughter tries to end the family's fatal love curse and uncovers dark secrets that force Sally and Jillian to step in. Mike talks about how it compares to the original, why it makes him sad about modern filmmaking and why it overstayed its welcome at over 2 hours long. In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about M. Night Shyamalan and author Nicholas Sparks who have teamed up for a supernatural romantic thriller called "Remain".  It stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Phoebe Dynevor…will it be great or a disaster. Mike thinks there is no in between!

Movie Mike shares his Top 10 A24 movies of all-time. He discusses what a movie studio actually does, what makes A24 so different and why they don’t always measure success in box office earnings. He shares his favorite films from The Iron Claw to Sing, Sing and more! In the Movie Review, Mike gives his thoughts on director Ridley Scott’s The Dog Stars starring Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, and Margaret Qualley.  Based on a book, The movie tells the story of survivors of a deadly pandemic traversing a post-apocalyptic landscape to find the origin of a mysterious radio transmission. Mike shares what made the movie unwatchable, the lack of chemistry among the leads and why it may be time for Ridley Scott to hang it up.  In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about Resident Evil directed by Zach Cregger. It’s about a medical courier who unwittingly finds himself in an action-packed, non-stop race for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.

Mike and Kelsey are back to recap all the movies they saw in August. They talk about getting to see a movie with Matthew McConaughey in attendance, nepo babies in film, and the trolls who have come after them after their thoughts on not liking a popular franchise.  They talk about Adam Sandler’s daughter in Don’t Stay Good Luck being a case where she only got the job because of her dad. In the Movie Review, Mike talks about Insidious: Out of the Further. It’s about Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in the house she grew up in, discovers she can travel into The Further, where she possesses an ability to bring what lives there back to the real world. Mike shares why Insidious has lost its way, the worst character in horror and why the movie didn’t get interesting until the last 30 mins.  In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about DC Studios ‘ Clayface”.  It’s a standalone Batman villain film. DC describes the film in a press release as one that “unravels one man’s horrifying descent from rising Hollywood star to revenge-filled monster.” Mikes gives his thoughts on DC’s start as the usher in a new era and why he thinks they need to step it up to compete with Marvel.
