He shares his favorite films from The Iron Claw to Sing, Sing and more! In the Movie Review, Mike gives his thoughts on director Ridley Scott’s The Dog Stars starring Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, and Margaret Qualley.  Based on a book, The movie tells the story of survivors of a deadly pandemic traversing a post-apocalyptic landscape to find the origin of a mysterious radio transmission. Mike shares what made the movie unwatchable, the lack of chemistry among the leads and why it may be time for Ridley Scott to hang it up.  In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about Resident Evil directed by Zach Cregger. It’s about a medical courier who unwittingly finds himself in an action-packed, non-stop race for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.

Mike and Kelsey are back to recap all the movies they saw in August. They talk about getting to see a movie with Matthew McConaughey in attendance, nepo babies in film, and the trolls who have come after them after their thoughts on not liking a popular franchise.  They talk about Adam Sandler’s daughter in Don’t Stay Good Luck being a case where she only got the job because of her dad. In the Movie Review, Mike talks about Insidious: Out of the Further. It’s about Gemma, a young mother raising her daughter in the house she grew up in, discovers she can travel into The Further, where she possesses an ability to bring what lives there back to the real world. Mike shares why Insidious has lost its way, the worst character in horror and why the movie didn’t get interesting until the last 30 mins.  In the Trailer Park, Mike talks about DC Studios ‘ Clayface”.  It’s a standalone Batman villain film. DC describes the film in a press release as one that “unravels one man’s horrifying descent from rising Hollywood star to revenge-filled monster.” Mikes gives his thoughts on DC’s start as the usher in a new era and why he thinks they need to step it up to compete with Marvel.
