Our guest this episode is hands down one of the most talented performers Australia has. Dami Im is a pianist, singer, songwriter, author, teacher, wife, mother, Queensland girl and all-round good human. 

We first discovered her through the TV show X-Factor and she harnessed that win to build on her career and amongst other huge achievements like hit songs and albums, she represented Australia at Eurovision and came SECOND.

Dami is amazing Mama Mentor for this episode for so many reasons. Dami moved to Australia from South Korea when she was just 9 years old. She didn’t speak English and had to start her life over. Dami chats to us about how scary it is to move countries right before you hit the teen years, the insecurities she felt, and tools she used to try and fit in when she clearly stood out. Hint. Later in the episode we dig deep to how uncomfortable fame feels like her, how she built her talent recording herself singing into her laptop, how working with record labels can compromise you as an artist, plus of course what performing in Eurovision in front of the world is really like.
