Over the years Paula has sat on many boards and committees supporting the legacy of Africville and continues to be involved at the board level. For the past 15 years Paula has demonstrated her commitment to ensuring Africville’s story remains a vital part of Nova Scotia’s history through her advocacy and sharing of information through her Africville Facebook page (Africville Updates and Information and Then Some (Drama Free).
Paula has spent most of her adult life preserving the history of Africville and is more than a community builder—she is a connector, educator, and advocate whose work ensures Africville’s legacy continues to inspire across generations and borders. What is most impressive, is that Paula does all of this out of her love for and commitment to preserving the legacy of Africville and the kindness of her heart.
