The DHET - Khetha Digital Media Campaign forms a vital part of South Africa’s national education and skills development strategy. It is positioned within the broader educational ecosystem where the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) shares responsibility with the Department of Basic Education (DBE) to serve the learning and skills development needs of South Africans at different stages of their academic and career journeys.

The campaign builds on a tradition of public education and empowerment through multiple media platforms, particularly targeting high school learners, graduates, job seekers, and out-of-school youth to provide accessible career guidance, bursary information, internship opportunities, and entrepreneurial support.
