Nissan's X-Trail N-TREK SUV - Designed for those with a more adventurous spirit

View descriptionShare

Driving Nissan’s X-Trail N-Trek SUV today – a new addition to the X-Trail range a
model designed for those customers who embrace the outdoor with a more
adventurous spirit - with additional cosmetic highlights, lower body protection,
an improved touchscreen and digital instrumentation, a head-up display and
waterproof cosmetic leather trim. I drove the 2.5-litre four-cylinder CVT automatic
front wheel drive five-seater at $47,790, around $51,000 drive-away – the current
Nissan X-Trail perhaps one of our most family friendly mid-sized SUV’s and the N
-Trek grade gives it a harder edge but retains a standout interior with great
comfort for five adults, the added features over the ST-L welcome additions - it
certainly looks more muscular with five-star ANCAP safety, featuring dual zone
air-con, front parking sensors, 360-degree camera, heated and ventilated seats
and a powered driver’s seat. No wireless charger though and while it supports
Apple Car Play and Android Auto you still require a charge cable. The X-Trail N-
Trek also features ProPilot, Nissan’s integrated driver assist technology assisting
braking, acceleration, and steering. Thankfully, it’s not intrusive. The drive
experience excellent, my only negative a firmer ride quality to other X-Trails I’ve
driven – maybe the price you pay for having an adventurous spirit. I’m David
Berthon
