Summer is approaching, which means no school, family vacations, and summer camp! These are all fun activities, and yet often parents aren’t sure when (and if!) their kids will be ready to take the leap into an overnight camp.
In her recent op-ed released, Amy Lowe, Director of WinShape Camps for Girls (established by Chick-fil-A founder), encourages parents to be inquisitive about their own anxieties for their kids, deciphering between parental hesitancies and trusting their kids when they say they’re ready.
Amy believes that summer camp is a formative time for girls to grow into strong leaders, and that empowering them now will ultimately shape what our local churches and communities look like in the future!
