There are critics outside the church that accuse the OT God of genocide, racism, ethnic cleansing, and violence, while other critics inside the church claim that Moses and other prophets were mistaken about God’s commands and character. These critics dismiss the OT God in favor of the kind, compassionate “actual” God revealed by Jesus. Are they right to do so?
