A 20-year-old resident of Biaora, Madhya Pradesh, has captured national attention by single-handedly cleaning the severely polluted Ajnar River, starting on Republic Day 2026.

Using only basic tools, trash bags, and relentless effort-initially with a few friends but mostly alone-he cleared thick layers of algae, plastic waste, garbage, and debris from the neglected waterway over several weeks. His self-recorded before-and-after videos on social media show a striking transformation from sludge-covered chaos to noticeably clearer water flow.

The public response has been overwhelming: "This is the real Swachh Bharat-where are the officials?" "A young boy shames the municipality with bare hands!" "Taxes collected, rivers still dirty-give this hero real support!" and "If one person can do this, why can't the government?"

Comments criticize prolonged civic neglect, demand accountability, and call for official recognition, funding, or medals. The viral act highlights the power of individual initiative against systemic failure,
