At UFC 284, Islam Makhachev faces Alexander Volkanovski - the featherweight champ - for the lightweight crown from Perth, Australia. Volkanovski is trying to become the fifth champ champ in UFC history while the Khabib Nurmagomedov protoge in Makhachev seeks to hold onto his title. In the co-main event, Yair Rodriguez battles Josh Emmett for the interim featherweight strap. Also on the ESPN+ pay-per-view fight card is Jack Della Madalena fighting Randy Brown.
