Feed My Starving Children: Amy Okeson

View descriptionShare

Fargo, N.D. – Fargo’s own Feed My Starving Children MobilePack is slated to pack over two
million meals for the third time at SCHEELS Arena from Wednesday, February 2 through
Saturday, February 5.
“Our mission is to feed kinds hungry in body and spirit,” explains Amy Okeson, MobilePack
director. “We are so happy to be able to do that again in 2022. We are excited to work with
over 18 local schools and universities to feed the spirit of thousands of local students as they
pack. In just two short hours the students experience how they can provide hope to hungry
kids around the world.”
Every year between 8,000 and 12,000 volunteers come together to pack meals for Feed My
Starving Children’s international partners. The Fargo MobilePack is funded, ran, and packed
by local businesses, schools, churches, and organizations. Feed My Starving Children is a 4-
star Charity Navigator recipient for 16 consecutive years and 99.8 percent of Feed My Starving
Children meals shipped have safely reached their intended locations.
“We have a goal to provide two million meals through the 2022 Fargo MobilePack,” states
Okeson. “We know our community will rally together to fund these meals through donations
and help pack them by volunteering. The hope that is generated through this event has a
ripple effect in our community and our world. And we will continue this event, until all are
fed.”
